Many times there is a misunderstanding by people in general as to what actually causes panic attacks. While we have to admit at the outset that panic attacks can be caused by chemical imbalance due to other medical factors, there are other interesting theories that come to light as research is done and a greater understanding of the condition becomes apparent.
I came across this interesting video by Dr Hotze, where he explains the hormonal impact upon the lives of people when ‘progesterone levels can cause estrogen dominance, leading to anxiety and panic attacks. This can safely be treated with bioidentical progesterone.’

What is a panic attack? Let me explain it with an example. If a person has enormous fear or anxiety and feels that he is having a heart attack, when it is not really a heart attack, then you can say he is suffering from panic attack… In general he may experience higher heart beat rate, palpitation and sweating. He may also experience hyperventilation. This panic attack may last for about 20 minutes.
